How the vision came to be…..

When Pastor Bob Daneker’s term as District Superintendent of the Evangelical Congregational Church drew to a close, he asked area EC congregations to help reach the 17,000 “unchurched” persons living in the Fogelsville – New Tripoli – Schnecksville triangle. A Bible Study group from Boulevard EC Church (now called Christ EC Church) accepted the challenge. The rest is His-story.

The group first met in the Daneker home and backyard on Emerson Street in Allentown. They then moved to the Seipstown Grange; a Penn State Campus classroom in Applewood; and finally to the Weisenberg Elementary School. Ongoing miracles allowed them to purchase and quickly pay for the eleven-acre site on which we now meet.

A pavilion was erected so there would be a place for community gatherings. In the fall of 2004, work began on the main facility where we now gather for fellowship, education, and worship. It was built with huge amounts of volunteer labor. The building was dedicated on September 11, 2005.

After serving in ministry for over 50 years, Pastor Bob and his wife Barbara retired in July of 2008. Pastor Ken Kalisz and his wife Denise arrived from Bridgeville EC Church in Lancaster County where Ken was serving as Youth Pastor.

Hope’s future looks very exciting! The rest of His-story will be written through God’s leading of the people of this church body along with those yet to come who will join in our mission:
Sharing God’s vision for today’s people; providing hope for all their tomorrows!
